Program Overview

TIFIDIN Game Plan is a mental wellness and peak performance program designed for elite student-athletes.  It integrates life skills, resilience training, and the SUCCEED Self-Mastery Method to train athletes for  success on the court and in life.

1. The TIFIDIN Framework 

Think It, Feel It, Do It Now – A mindset philosophy focussed on turning thoughts into acons for consistent  peak performance. 

Core Focus: Building mental toughness, self-awareness, and intenonal effort. 

Applicaon: Players, parents, and coaches use the same language to communicate goals, actions, and feedback effecvely. 

2. The SUCCEED Self-Mastery Method – Practices to Elevate Performance 

The SUCCEED Self-Mastery Method consists of 7 power practices that form the foundation of the  program: 

Power Practice # 1: Surround Yourself with the Right People 

• Curating you personal TIFIDIN Board of Excellence (TBOE). 

• Teamwork, trust, and leadership roles. 

Power Practice # 2:Understand Yourself 

• Developing self-awareness and emotional regulation. 

• Knowing your strengths and areas for growth. 

Power Practice # 3:Cultivate a Gratitude Attitude 

• Fostering a growth mindset and appreciating the journey. 

• Learning from wins, losses, and feedback. 

Power Practice # 4: Create and Commit to Goals 

• Setting actionable, measurable objectives.  

• Setting performance and personal goals. 

Power Practice # 5: Exercise Self-Care  

• Balancing academics, athletics, and well-being. 

• Basketball Tie-In: Maintaining physical and mental health. 

Power Practice # 6:Elevate Your Self-Talk and Conversations 

Positive communication and internal dialogue. 

Encouraging teammates and maintaining focus under pressure. 

Power Practice # 7: Develop Your Self-Discipline 

Building consistency in effort and habits. 

Basketball Tie-In: Practice routines, game preparation, and accountability. 

 

 

3. Weekly Training Modules (6-Week Foundational Program) 

Each week focuses on one key area to establish foundational skills 

Week 1: Mindset for Peak Performance 

Week 2: Emotional Resilience and Stress Management 

Week 3: Teamwork and Communication 

Week 4: Life Skills (B-Ball Analogy Program 

Week 5: Goal Setting and Accountability 

Week 6: Self-Discipline and Consistency 

4. Analogy Methodology 

TIFIDIN Game Plan for Basketball Player uses basketball as a metaphor to teach life skills. For example: The Uniform: Appearance, first impressions, and personal branding 

Fouls: Handling and using mistakes and consequences effectively. 

Fouling Out: Accountability and its impact on the team and life. 

Playing the Game: Staying present, adaptable, and resilient. 

5. Supporting Components

A) Individual Support

Monthly 1:1 check-ins to address personal challenges and goals. 

B) Parent Workshops 

Topics include: 

• Parenting Elite Athletes 

• Supporting Mental Health and Resilience 

• Preparing for Life Beyond Basketball 

C) Coach Training 

• Understanding player needs (e.g., neurodiversity, emotional regulation). 

• Communicating effectively for maximum performance. 

D) Online Component 

• Access to recorded sessions, reflection prompts, and goal-setting tools. 

• Discussion forums for parents, students, and coaches. 

6. Sponsorship Opportunities 

Branded merchandise (hoodies, journals, Talk Beverages) co-designed with corporate sponsors to  offset program costs and support the school.
